The Ab Circle Pro Reviews

by Carol on March 10, 2009

Every now and again I come across piece of exercise equipment that is so good that it makes me do a little dance of delight. Well today is the day!

It’s the day of the The Ab Circle Pro

This piece of equipment is brand new on the market and I believe it’s going to be a real hit! The Ab Circle Pro combines Cardio exercise with abdominal exercise to burn fat and toned sleek trimmed abs – all at the same time! Imagine being able to work your abs at the same time as burning calories – that is every exerciser’s dream, certainly among all the clients that I have come across.

The problem with traditional Ab exercises is that they don’t combine a fat-burning element. Also, most Ab exercises are done lying on the floor which isn’t ideal. Traditional Ab Crunches, if they are not done absolutely correctly, will only hurt your back and will not help your abs. I seem to spend my life trying to teach people to do Crunches correctly!

The main problem with Ab Crunches happens when people push their abdominals outwards during the Crunch instead of sucking them in. Pushing your abs out when you crunch will indeed make them stronger, but will make them bulge outwards instead of flatten — exactly the opposite of what we want to happen! And if I tell my novice clients to pull their tummy button down as they crunch up they hold their breath and start to go blue!

The Ab Circle Pro deals with these problems in a very clever way. The Ab Circle Pro can be set up in seconds, getting you off the floor and putting your abdominals in a perfect position to be toned – there is no question of your abdominals being pushed outwards as the Ab Circle Pro works your abs as you swing from side to side. Think of the Ab Circle Pro as a treadmill for your abs!

This is a good way to sculpt great abs, banish the pooch and get a fantastic trim waistline. You are up off the floor and your neck and back are in a perfect position – no more neck pain from doing crunches!

The Ab Circle Pro has three levels of resistance to make your workouts tougher as you get stronger and trimmer. The unique, patented friction-free track means that you glide smoothly from side to side working those abs and burning as many calories as jogging on a treadmill.

Although the Ab Circle Pro if used regularly will help you achieve your weight loss goals it’s build quality has been called into question. If you want to lose weight safely and want an inexpensive product that will do just that then why not take a look at The Truth About Abs. At under $40 it’s great value for money, does exactly what it says it’ll do and you can’t break it!

Ive had mine for a week or so and it does work your core and shoulders and i feel it even in my arms. The calorie counter/timer is rubbish and cheap and nasty. My handles dont line up evenly and it does hurt the knees. Not for any one with bad knees! Cant comment on dropping kilos because i havnt had it long enough but i do think like with any exercise worth doing its not as easy as it looks but i can feel it working my muscles and it definatly gets the heart pumping.

I really would love to own that awesome machine but I can’t afford the full amount yet. Is there a monthly payment plan I can do?

james Jhon May 12, 2010 at 2:23 am

I personally used this machine and got away some results in 2 weeks. Its portable too. You can carry it along if you are in move and do your workouts where ever you like. You can order it for trail and if you are not satisfied than you can refund it.

I have had my ab circle pro for a week. I would agree with the other postings that it is very hard on the knees. I had to add padding to mine. I also have a problem with the knee area turning. I do feel the workout and look forward to the results

Well must admitt I really do love this ab machine BUT there is a big BUT and that is how cheaply this machine is made. I cannot beleive that the centre hinges that the swinging arms are attached to is is cheap and shotty. These two arms are attached to two seperate large bolts and these arms sit on top of a black plastic disc. With normal use which for me is 20 minutes a day, very quickly I noticed black dust directly under this centre hinge(s). (middle centre under the machine) These plastic discs literally start to ware and degrade… from the first moment you start to use this machine. They ware down to the extent that the swinging arms soon becomes loose and they begin to slowly loose balance… To the point the machine cannot be used for two reasons
The whole arm beomes so unbalanced that they no longer swing freely, you will notice the knee pad sitting more to one side, rather than centre balanced and also just before this becomes very noticable another thing happens, the crome bar that attaches between the left and right arm drops whilst in use, which throws you off the machine, as a consequence of the lack of balance caused by the worn disc’s that sit under each swinging arm, the bolt that the arms is hinged upon. This really sucks as I would consider this a major design flaw as this little black disc undergoes allot of ware and friction. It is as if this has been done on purpose. I beleive if Ab Circle Pro really believed in cutomer service, customer satisfaction or customer feedback they would use materials that are non waring and friction resistent. As once these disc’s ware down (usually very unevenly) you have wasted your money. Please congrate me I have now worn out two of these machines I only wiegh 82kgs and usually will do twenty minutes a night on the top resistence level. If anyone hears of a machine that is the same as the Ab Pro Circle but is actually built for proper ware and tear please drop me an e-mail. Twice bitten and now over $500 dollars poorer I just wish someone could design a unit like this that you could use for an extended period of time before it breaks down… Shame on you Ab Circle Pro Makers…. I really hope that Karma comes your way

I have found the abcircle is great. After looking for a way to exersice without puttiing weight on my broken heel was hard. Then I tried your machine and I now know that I have won. After less than 2 weeks I have strenghtened my legs dropped 5 pounds and my foot no longer hurts as bad. Thanks.

I have seen this on tv a few times and it honestly looked like fun to me. I hate core workouts just because I don’t like situps and crunches. Im always looking for somthing else to work of the extra around the middle due to having babies.

I love my AB Circle Pro it does what it says it does!! I have lost 30 lbs and i have only had my machine for 3 months. The only complaint I have is that this machine has really disappointed me as far as the quality. It is very cheaply made and is beginning to become unbalanced and all the parts have become loose. I know that if I want to keep loosing weight I am gonna have to buy a new one and that is just unacceptable after only 3 months!!!!!!! I am very happy about my weight loose but I am very unhappy with the quality of this machine! I would never recommend this machine to any of my friend in fact I would steer them clear!
The engineers of AB Circle Pro should be replaced with people of real talent!

I don’t know what’s wrong with mines (tried 2 different ones) it takes all of my strenght to make it move to 1 side! By the time I get it to go on the other side, I’m exhausted. I got 2 units that were defective. I’m wondering if I can buy the roller part to fix it. I went to a store in the mall & their display unit was defective as well

I recently started using the Ab Circle Pro for 2 weeks, daily for about 15 of each position. Sometimes i do more to challenge myself and i can honestly say, it WORKS! I have never thought an advertisement for weight loss products would actually have an effect on my body but it really does. I don’t like to check my weight often, i just look in the mirror every once in awhile.. and i can honestly say, the results are amazing. My stomach and obliques have slimmed down immensely and i used to have lower back fat, now it’s GONE! :) for $200 it’s truly worth it. Hands down, it’s the best workout machine i’ve ever purchased and i couldn’t be any happier. All you have to do is, use it often and DON’T GIVE UP! The people who tend to be negative are the people who seem to have high expectations but don’t work hard enough. Sorry, but life doesn’t work that way. TRUST ME, it works, i’m living proof :)

I bought one of the new models After having a baby on the 22nd of feb this year, I can say I enjoy working out now. After a week of having it I lost 2.5kg (11kg so far after bubs) (following the diet plan provided of course).
I researched before I purchased, You can replace the rollers and bearings if you feel they are worn after time. All you have to do is look on ebay.
I have told all my friends to buy one as I highly recommend it!

Sam May 7, 2011 at 9:11 pm

I don’t no weather to get on or not I am very young for it so I might be able to move it is it easy to move?

Benny May 16, 2011 at 2:12 am

I have had my ab circle for almost a year. I have to say it is awesome–I have lost 38 pounds with a healthy diet plan. With every machine you have to have a good healthy diet or it will not work. What I would like to say — it is cheaply made and that it should come with some type of free replacement plan. I use it 2 to 3 times a week for 20 minutes, I walk for an hour Saturday and Sunday. I feel the machine working my abs, arms, back, legs and for being a mother of 3, I really needed to do something. I am scultped now and I have not been since college. I really like my machine, but I do need a replacement now. I hope the company considers this as a SOS and calls their customers up for a plan of some sort.

I was given an ab circle pro by my mother in law I must say it is a good cardio workout but it is very bad for your lower back. I was unable to walk properly for a week after using mine for a couple of weeks. At first I thought it was just usual back pain from exercise but one morning I woke up unable to walk properly and went to the doctors and my doctor said not to use the machine. They are poor quality and I’m not heavy, they are noisy and the screws come undone all the time. I’m looking at going to the gym instead at least I know products there won’t hurt my back unless I use them incorrectly

I reeeeaally! want to buy this product but i have read the comments and now im confused. but imma buy it anyways and if this really is a bad product… sueing ppl!

Dave Hoden June 12, 2011 at 7:23 pm

This ab circle pro is complete junk.I used it for 2 months every day and the bushings in the arms are junk, also the bearings in the knee pads are junk. The people who make these hope you get tired of working out before they break, which isnt very long! The thing isnt worth $15.00 WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!

AngelKein September 8, 2011 at 2:14 pm

If you ate more than the supposed each day whilst doing this, I don’t think the results will show. I’ve only purchased the Ab Circle Pro for a couple of weeks and I must say that it is working. I see the tiniest change and I’m excited to see more!

Stacey April 28, 2012 at 1:48 am

i was given one of these not long ago by a family member after they didnt want it anymore. the rollers had started to ware down and were making horrible marks on the actual circle itself.
so i decided to look around and found that you can buy replacement rollers on ebay for $20 a pair (AUS). i was so excited and after reading the above comments thought that you all should know that instead of buying a new machine you can just buy new rollers :)

Absolute Rubbish! Please do NOT waste your hard earned cash on this rubbish product. In a nutshell, it does NOT do what it says on the packet so to speak, it is extremely of poor quality and cheaply made and what’s more it is exceptionally dangerous! Heaps of things wrong with this poor example of an exercise kit, for example, the metal arms are not secured enough ( My partner has a nasty bump on their leg for months now after one of the metal hinges came loose and the machine flung them off, not good!). It marks carpets with black dust everywhere and the machine parts break done and wear badly very quickly, kneepads have gone all wobbly and do not work and no warranty for this product!…Overall this product should be banned! It is extremely dangerous, dangerous for young, old and the young at heart! Do not purchase or waste your money, you’d surely be making a serious mistake!

Having lost 2 stone by dieting alone, I decided to tone up using Ab Circle Pro. I am not unfit. I run and jog several times a week and I go to the gym. Just 5 minutes on this machine and I ripped a muscle in my back. I am not sure how I could have done this wrong. However I am now in so much pain that I am taking anti inflamatory drugs, painkillers and sleeping tablets just to get me through the night. I never take painkillers so this is unusual for me. My fitness regime has gone out the window as I now have to rest all my muscles. How can a fit, healthy person incur such an injury after just 5 minutes on this machine?????
