Does The Ab Circle Pro Really Work?

by Carol on March 13, 2009

Question: Does The Ab Circle Pro Really Work?

Answer: Yes It really Works. But Only If You Really Use It!  This must be one of the most commonly asked questions I get, and it is always the same:- “Does The Ab Circle Pro, The Firm Wave, The Cardio Twister, The T-Bow or any other piece of exercise equipment you can think of work?”

They all work if you use them regularly even the most useless over-hyped piece of exercise junk you can buy will work if you stick with it. I think better questions would be:

  1. Will it still be functioning after a week, or will it be broken?
  2. Will it motivate me to keep using it?
  3. Is it downright dangerous to use in the first place(as in encouraging bad posture)
  4. Would a different piece of equipment give me better results?
  5. Is it easy to use and store? (No use if it takes 30 mins to set up and is the size of  a small elephant)
  6. Does it meet my weight loss / fitness goals?

Don’t blame your latest equipment purchase if you don’t get the results you want because you don’t use it! Nobody likes to be ripped off, but it’s up to you to make yourself do the exercise.

The worst (and most common) mistake that people make is assuming that because they bought the equipment that’s all they needed to do. Oddly enough the act of handing over your hard- earned cash guarantees nothing unless you actually use what you bought.

This is obvious to me, but not to many of my clients – It still makes me laugh sometimes. Hysterically.

If you want a system that does work, isn’t a gimmick but requires effort from you take a look at The Truth About Abs rock solid information that will help you lose weight quickly and effectively but only if you use it!

The small print on the website indicates..”Due to overwhelming demand for this product, we’re experiencing delays in shipping. You will receive your order in the next few weeks…” The normal delivery is indicated as 3 weeks, so who knows if the demand delivery is on top of the 3. As far as using…I’m waiting too! I imagine a few times a day and limiting calories, will give us results. Let’s see! $250 is a bunch to spend, so hopefullyl it will work for all of us.

Sam August 3, 2009 at 4:29 am

i was considering the cardio twister or the ab circle pro. can any1 suggest which would be a better buy for more results?
and also if u still need to do extra walks or runs with the cardio twister and ab circle pro. thnx in advance :)))

VANESSA August 3, 2009 at 9:38 am

I just got it today and ordered it 1 week ago, So hopefully the results are worth the money spent.

Mechell Blue August 10, 2009 at 1:13 am

I purchased the ab circle pro two week ago. I have noticed a difference already. IT’S GREAT!

Jessica August 26, 2009 at 7:30 pm

I ordered mine a week ago, and I should get it today, according to fedex, anxiously waiting on it. I have the ab roller, and it works, but is harsh on my back, I can lose the wieght, its toning up what I want!! I am watching the door every 10mins, to see if Fedex here!!! So ready to start my workouts, I agree with trainer article, You have to use the equipment to get results.

Crystal October 23, 2009 at 7:32 pm

I called for the Ab Circle Pro from the TV infomercial and received an automated service. I was trying to order the free trial, but they gave me the option to pay in full. I declined the offer and was never asked to confirm like the three confirmation question when declining other offers, and they charged me anyway. I was hesitant to putting my card information in before receiving a total, but I did anyway. Next time I will definitely follow my gut. Watch out for the company!

i say: exercise is a 200% committed thing,if you only put in 30%,thats all the gain your going to and exercise will always be 85 to 95% of it,i ordered mine, will let all truly know the whole truth here next week…i run, diet regulary most of time, have workout excperience…did get a little out of shape in last few months..i normally can get back in shape and drop 15 to 20 pounds in 4 weeks tops with fast walking 30 minutes to and hour every night and lean diet like no sweets, red meats..i go to tuna, turkey, vegetables, frutis…and lots of water….cut out sweets, red meats.fat breads, etc….say bye to fast food and sodas..i will recieve my ab circle on weds. 11/25/09…and will repost every now and then to let all know the progress, the qaulity, etc….and i worry about the length the handle bars extend for tall men..i am 6’3/235 lbs…. on 11/23/09….please all post,if it is a gimmick we know never to trust or buy anything sponsored by this company or trainer jenny lee ever again,if it does work tell all!

marko November 23, 2009 at 7:44 pm

everybody please post dates you started this machine, with your weights, dates you started diets and using ab circle, and qaulity of your machine, etc….we will know to credit or discredit the trainer and company saling this product or tell people if it works, qaulilty, etc….sharing our experiences will only benefit us all, thanks…i will asseble mine wedsday evening and start using it right away….i started diet today on 11/23/09…6’3/235 lbs…..ill repost the very latest by 11/23/09 to tell you all if any gaines or whatever….i am commited to full diet, walking, riding bike over big bridge and on beach…etc…..i promise the whole truth, marko

marko November 30, 2009 at 6:54 pm

ill say after having my ab pro circle for almost a week it does seem to work, the roller bar might wear it in time i think, they should send a few extra, not just one!if you fully diet, and use this machine regulary for i would say 12 -30 minutes a day,you will see results! it really does make knees hurt, they should throw in some better knee pads for sure….but overall i like it!

marko November 30, 2009 at 7:00 pm

also remember how long it took to put on the fat,and it will take longer to get it off and a lot more harder work….you gotta be real with yourself on this machine that you gotta get into it every day,and diet really good, and also walk fast/run regularly, like every night..or your not truly dedicated to getting real results….

Don Stillie December 29, 2009 at 12:40 am

I read reviews on this machine a week before christmas, many reviews stated that there was a problem with the plastic rollers desintegrating on this machine, I read the weight limit for the machine is 275 pounds, my wife is 107 and a weigh 198, weve had the machine for 2 days now and have used it a combined total “me and my wife” for approximately 16 minutes, the machine does not complete a half circle smoothly but binds up adding extra resistance between swings, there are pieces of plastic roller on the carpet and on the base of the ab roller, I looked at the plastic rollers and there is significant scoring of the rollers, I dont expect the rollers to hold up more than a week or two more, the company included an extra set of rollers in the box which I immediately viewed as a warning signal, avoid this product if at all possible, its turned out to be a $215 dollar mistake for me.

Cheech January 5, 2010 at 12:55 am

I have the ab circle pro, I just got it and its only the 4th day using it. I can already feel my love handles being sore, so hopefully I can cut that down, but… the bar that the wheels roll on seems to be breaking off already, chips of the paint/ metal or whatever are coming off… could wax solve this problem?

Ashley January 7, 2010 at 4:51 am

I just bought mine like 2 wks ago and i already lost pounds and inches. I didnt change my diet or anything i just work out on it for 20 mins a day! I love it i got my family to get one! I do wish they sent more than 1 roller though!!

angie January 7, 2010 at 3:31 pm

hi i have had my machine fir about 2 weeks now and enjoy it. i do it every day but ordered the other workouts for it ,so i can get more burn.i hope i get the abs i always waited for since the summer is coming and a flat tummy would be great. i,ll let yall know soon .good luck and give it a chance.

luis January 30, 2010 at 3:12 pm

ab circle pro really works great i also had a problem with the wheels them i esed some lube on the rim and now it works alot better. my abs have gotten ripped with diet and alot of running

LeShelle Johnson February 8, 2010 at 1:49 am

I received my Ab Circle Pro a day ago (02-06-2010). I use three times a day for about 10 minutes each time. I definitely feel the burn and Im stoked. But I too am concerned about the knee padding. It has hurt alittle but it is great to use. Wonder what I can use to cushion that area.

Anyways, good luck to everyone that is waiting. Let’s keep in touch and encourge each other.

angie February 8, 2010 at 3:53 pm

hi i don,t know if y,all know this but my mom bought one in canada and you have to clean the machine after every use with soap and water then really makes a big differece on the wear of the rollers and machine i love mine and do it every get what u put into it good luck.

Kristen February 21, 2010 at 9:43 am

I bought the ab circle pro many months ago, and its a waste of money! At 5 foot 1 and weighing 110 im not considered to be carrying extra weight but after 3 kids and having major back problems due to scoliosis, which makes sit ups impossible, I was excited to see this to try and tone up. Within days of using the wear and tear was very noticeable and I found very quickly the knee pads suck! I continued to use it, as you say nothing works unless you use it, well months went by and I found no difference in my abs, buns or thighs like they advertise and sell the product for. My arms, yes, they were the only thing that seemed to be benefiting from something I paid a lot of money for. So disappointed with this product. My advice, go to walmart spend 15 bucks on an exercise ball and do your sit ups on that. Easy on the back, and knees. Affordable and effective! Ab circle pro is poorly made, and incredibly poorly advertised.

Chels(: April 15, 2010 at 5:00 pm

Hi my mom ordered the ab circle pro about 2 weeks ago we havent recieved it yet but it should be on the way! I was wondering how much time each day should we spend on this product to see the best results?

Joe April 15, 2010 at 6:55 pm

Well I bought the ab circle pro in February and its April and I haven’t lost any weight because I haven’t been on it in a while. I did lose a couple of pounds and people were starting to notice but I just need too know how do you replace the wheel on it, because my school is taking us to the Rapids and I don’t wanna look like a fat blob in-front of my girlfriend. :)

Mariana Alvarez May 11, 2010 at 10:19 pm

When i first saw the Ab Circle Pro I swear i used it for 5 minutes then it sat in the box for more then a month then i started freaking out because i gained weight and I started to notice stretch marks which i don’t know what to do about. I actually started using it. I did start sweating after like a minute. I also got all the dvds but i feel like sometimes i get just tired instead of feeling a work out—but other than i have a good feeling that if i use it everyday i’ll see some good results. By the way it was expensive!

sarah May 19, 2010 at 11:53 pm

I see that some people have said that they use it for 20 minutes a day. When I use it my knees hurt so bad that i cant go that long but I do 5 minutes 3 times a day. Will that work just like doing 15 minutes or should i try to get all the minutes at one time?

amber July 10, 2010 at 1:29 pm

Lindsey July 12, 2010 at 4:36 am

hi i am 5 ft 5in tall and i weigh 180. I was thinkin bout ZUMBA but i figure i will try the ab circle pro. i wanna lose at least 60lbs and i am wonderin if i do it for 10 mins 3X a day and bike for bout 30 mins everyday and eat healthy. bout how long will it take me to lose this extra baggage?

Beth July 13, 2010 at 5:59 pm

To lindsey, I do zumba 5 days a week, it’s AWESOME! Well depending on the instructor. It’s an amazing workout and even if you can’t do everything the teacher is doing, if you put your all into it, you come out sweating SO MUCH! Also, Try a cycling class, those are super awesome as well, they really do work out your legs and after about 3 minutes you already start sweating and feeling, well at least i do. As far as the Ab Circle.. I used it for about a week, and now it just sits in my room. I didn’t really notice results.

Nowshin July 30, 2010 at 9:43 pm

i started using mine 5 days ago..and i swear i lost 4 pounds already..i weighed about i weigh 151 in only 5 days…i think it works i have been doing it 6 minutes a day and eating right…Its working for me..i hope it keeps on working

JAYSGOURMET August 8, 2010 at 4:59 pm

sarah September 8, 2010 at 1:56 pm

i’m sara and 15 years old,
i’m 143 and wanna loose 22lbs in 1 month, is that possible with the ab twister or circle.

jessica September 20, 2010 at 5:48 pm

hey i am 5’8″ was 160lbs i bought my ab circle in march 2010 i used it everyday for 45 mins each day i put some extra foam in the knee pads so it wasnt so uncomfortable, after using the system and watching what i was eating for 2 weeks i had lost 10lbs and after the full six weeks i got down to 135lbs and have a 27″ waist it really does work but you have to use it and eat sensibly, if you find the knee pads uncomfortable put something on them like i did the is really no excuse to not use this machine.

Anna October 18, 2010 at 10:55 am

Hey i was just wondering is the ab circle pro really worth it alot of people have had good results and others have had bad what do you recommend i have always wanted to loes weight and get abs so plz tell me is it worth the money thnx

Carol October 18, 2010 at 11:13 am

Some love it some hate it. The build quality is a little bit suspect and it’s expensive. Does it work? If used as part of a fitness program it’ll help but on its own probably not. The best option is a Personal Trainer who can guide you on healthy eating and work out a program that’ll be effective for you. If money was short I’d take a look at the Kettleworx as it’s inexpensive and will do the job but requires work and discipline. Please check with your health professional before starting any new exercise program.

Good luck. Carol

Cara October 20, 2010 at 9:14 pm

heyy i just got the ab circle pro about 3 wks ago and i use it for 20mins every day that i can plus doing cheerleading on a wednesday so i would like to tell you some really good new i have used it everyday for 3wks for just 20mins and i can aready see my abs and i have a flat stomach and i look great so i do recomend you can buy them from big w and they are only $199 and they come with an extra roller so thats a bonus so i really recomend it for you i can see my rock hard 6 pack now and i have no shame to show it plus i wasnt very big in the first place i was just 24 inches now im even better but i had belly rolls and guess wat they are all turned into abs and dont show when you sit down or lean over its great i recomend it it is worth the price trust me!!1 :D

kirk December 7, 2010 at 7:46 am

hey im really wntin to buy ab circle pro as i really find sit ups really uncomfortable on my back… im 22 and hav a flat stomach quite toned and was wondering if ab circle would give me the six pack and amazing tone im looking for as would like to purchase right now thanks

haley December 11, 2010 at 5:55 am

12/10/2010 I just went down to bed bath and beyond and got the ab cirlce today. I did each work out for 3 mins each and im feeling it!! I can tell i’ll be alittle sore tomorrow and i even feel it in my arms too. so that good. So i didnt know that you have to buy the computer thing seperate i thought it came with it. I currently weigh 134 lb right now and im 5’1. Ill keep you posted on how it works out. I think this machine will work and i actually think its kinda fun i get bored with tredmills, running, and got the p90x awhile back but the workouts are to long for me to stay interested. But the p90x definatly works without a doubt. Hope this machine works.

Brandon December 30, 2010 at 6:17 pm

The Ab Circle Pro is cheaply built! Got it For christmas and broke 3 days after use. You could not even fell it working. Spend money on a workoutdvd like P90X instead of this. You get more exercise walking!!!!!!

denaaa January 22, 2011 at 3:48 pm

cardio twister is better then ab circle!!”so try it guys …

Dark angel January 28, 2011 at 3:27 pm

Jessi April 15, 2011 at 11:52 am

I’m 14 years old and I want to lose 15 pounds on my butt and thighs.
I’m sick of wearing clothes and my butt and thighs are sticking out. I don’t it’s cute or even attracting. My question is can the ab circle pro get rid of the butt and thigh fat instead of the stomach because my stomach is flat and I really need to get of the places that I’m working on before I to high school.

Yusuf April 24, 2011 at 8:44 pm

Dear Jessie-
The Ab Circle Pro has a function that targets the butt and thighs. I am also 14 years old and I want to lose 42 pounds before I go on holiday in 4 months.

big boy on the sugar April 26, 2011 at 11:20 am

i love this product i went and used it for three months and i was 180 i am now 146 and i look and feel great i love it i had a big pot belly and now im all flat and six packed whoooa!

Darren June 1, 2011 at 2:59 pm

just bought this product in the uk…well constructed for a small sum of money 40 pound brand new!!!!! dont understand why its cheaper in uk then u.s?? but looking 4ward to useing it,and after reading comments i feel this machine is made for ppl with some body fat!! not really for ppl abess…and obviously the fatter you are the harder it is to get in the right position on this machine and then actually be able to twist from side to side,GET MY POINT!!! and another thing causing premiture wear on rollers!! its like putting an adult on a kids toy “them wheels are going to collapse” !!! I WOULD SAY LOSE WEIGHT FIRST B4 ATTEMPTING THIS MACHINE…havnt even been on it yet! but that part isnt rockett science hey think about it!!!!!!!……..

yoshi win June 18, 2011 at 3:01 am

hheeeyyyy there ppl, i am 46 years old and bought the AB CIRCLE PRO just today !! isnt that fantastic? weelll annnyywwhoo, i wanted to know that with me weighing 117 lbs, how regularly will i have to use it every day in order to loose 13 lbs?

Jake June 22, 2011 at 10:02 pm

Seems like these posts are full of the same questions and not enough answers. I’ve read just about every single one of the posts and I still have the same questions I started with. I would say before posting another question, read those up-top, since your question has probably been asked about 75 times. Maybe if we don’t fill up the board with noise we will have a glance at some actual testimonies.

caitlin July 1, 2011 at 9:39 pm

hi i was reading everyones comments because i just got my ab circle pro today and i tried it and it was hard for me to feel the workout expecially since it really hurt my knees, but i saw that some were complaining about how expensive it was so as a little tip before you order by telephone or anything try checking out ebay or websites similar, i got mine for only 98$ and thats including shipping and handling, and it arrived within 3 days brand new (:

Penny July 9, 2011 at 5:30 pm

Just got it in a garage sale for $25!!!!!!!! Super worth it! and I expect to lose ten pounds in just two weeks like the advertisement!!!!(:(hopefully)

So , my parents bought me an ab circle pro, but it was quite a long time ago. Lately I have been really concered about my weight. I’m quite lazy so thats why I havent been using it. But I’m very tired of being jelous of all the slim people so I’m going too make a change! Shouldnt be too hard because I already have the healthy eating under control, just not the exersize. So I was not prepard too waste my time so I googled wheather it really works or not, most people are saying it does so I’m ready to give it a go!!

Charlie November 22, 2011 at 2:04 am

I have the ab circle pro & love it but i need a new one as it has had its use by date. I was also looking at the cardio twister………. HAS ANYONE TRIED BOTH? I would definately buy another ab circle pro but would really like to know what the cardio twister is like……

Britney November 23, 2011 at 4:33 am

Hello, just purchased the AB CIRCLE PRO at Kmart for $99.99 and it comes with 2 dvd’s. Will update in 2 weeks on how its working out for me.

STEPHANIE January 5, 2012 at 6:09 am

I have the ab circle and it works great….i started working on it after christmas…before i started i weighed i’m 180lbs……its really about what you put into it…i do 3minute before i go to bed…once the soreness go away then you can do 5minutes a night….just like someone stated nothing will work if you don’t use it…. its a good tool to use..

CHRISTY February 12, 2012 at 7:23 pm

i got my ab circle pro 1-19-12 i use it every day to every other day. i am 22 and 200lbs 5’3″ i have a 8 month old and its hard to find time to workout when he is crawling around but i started using the ab circle pro during his nap time for 6 to 8 mins just while i watched tv with that i started eating less and cut out alot (not all) of sugery foods. i lost around 1 to 2 lbs a week. now i have stepped it up to 20 mins and i watch the workout video to help pass the time faster. i also use jullian michaels 6 wk 6 pk workout video 2 or 3 times a week but only do about 15 mins of it. my goal is to weigh 150 (weight befor pregnant) or less befor july. i have also found it helps ALOT to have a workout partner. My mother in law and i make it into a game to see who can go the longer time and lose the most weight in a week. over all i think it works great.

nessa February 15, 2012 at 10:44 pm

I’m about to buy one off Craigslist for 50$ I’m on a tight budget so I really wana know how will I notice if its been used a lot. How can I see if its overwarn

Troyleena February 27, 2012 at 1:15 am

I brought three off of ebay today for my family and I paid 26.00 for each brand new. Of course they are the 2010 models, but I could care less about that , I just did not want to spend 200 dollars on each of them. They still have some left, and I recommend anyone needed one to go that route, because 26 is better than 200 and if it did not work, then you are not really out of much.

ashley February 29, 2012 at 6:22 am
