Two pieces of equipment currently very popular are the Ab Circle Pro and the Firm Wave. The Ab Circle Pro has kneepads, handlebars and a semicircular track to glide around. You kneel on the kneepads, place your hands on the handlebars thus leaning forward in an all fours position, and swing the kneepads from side to side.

Using the Ab Circle Pro you move the kneepads from side to side while leaning on the padded handlebars; your abdominal area and waist muscles are toned and you get a cardiovascular heart and lung workout at the same time.

The body positioning on the Ab Circle Pro can feel quite challenging to start with if your upper body is weak, but within a week or so of regular use you will start to strengthen and tone your arm and chest muscles. The all fours positioning is also very good for strengthening the bones in your arms.

You need to be careful to position your hips and spine correctly when you’re exercising on all fours; if you let your lower back sag like a hammock and your abdominals bulge then you will soon get a sore back. Keep your tummy muscles pulled in and your spine in neutral and you will find your abs are in the perfect position to be toned efficiently and correctly.

The problem with doing sit-ups on the floor is that they are often done incorrectly and make the abs bulge in the wrong direction! There have been several reports of the kneepads being uncomfortable to use on the Ab Circle Pro, but I would suggest that wearing some hockey or football kneepads when you use the machine should solve that problem.

With the Ab Circle Pro you also get a low-calorie diet guide and a short DVD. Like most other home exercise devices, the Ab Circle Pro will indeed help you lose weight and build lean, sculpted muscle if you use it on a regular basis, overhaul your eating habits, and combine it with other types of regular exercise as well.

Comparing favourably to the Ab Circle Pro pricewise is The Firm Wave, which is formed of strong polymer and is in the shape of a humpback bridge. One side is stable for step and similar exercises, and the other side rocks for increased calorie burn and to challenge postural muscles. With the Wave you get a number of useful DVDs with various fat burning and toning workouts on them.

Well today is the day!

It’s the day of the The Ab Circle Pro

This piece of equipment is brand new on the market and I believe it’s going to be a real hit! The Ab Circle Pro combines Cardio exercise with abdominal exercise to burn fat and toned sleek trimmed abs – all at the same time! Imagine being able to work your abs at the same time as burning calories – that is every exerciser’s dream, certainly among all the clients that I have come across.

The problem with traditional Ab exercises is that they don’t combine a fat-burning element. Also, most Ab exercises are done lying on the floor which isn’t ideal. Traditional Ab Crunches, if they are not done absolutely correctly, will only hurt your back and will not help your abs. I seem to spend my life trying to teach people to do Crunches correctly!

The main problem with Ab Crunches happens when people push their abdominals outwards during the Crunch instead of sucking them in. Pushing your abs out when you crunch will indeed make them stronger, but will make them bulge outwards instead of flatten — exactly the opposite of what we want to happen! And if I tell my novice clients to pull their tummy button down as they crunch up they hold their breath and start to go blue!

The Ab Circle Pro deals with these problems in a very clever way. The Ab Circle Pro can be set up in seconds, getting you off the floor and putting your abdominals in a perfect position to be toned – there is no question of your abdominals being pushed outwards as the Ab Circle Pro works your abs as you swing from side to side. Think of the Ab Circle Pro as a treadmill for your abs!

This is a good way to sculpt great abs, banish the pooch and get a fantastic trim waistline. You are up off the floor and your neck and back are in a perfect position – no more neck pain from doing crunches!

The Ab Circle Pro has three levels of resistance to make your workouts tougher as you get stronger and trimmer. The unique, patented friction-free track means that you glide smoothly from side to side working those abs and burning as many calories as jogging on a treadmill.

Although the Ab Circle Pro if used regularly will help you achieve your weight loss goals it’s build quality has been called into question. If you want to lose weight safely and want an inexpensive product that will do just that then why not take a look at The Truth About Abs. At under $40 it’s great value for money, does exactly what it says it’ll do and you can’t break it!
